Photography is something that I love dearly and that I am 100% passionate about. I love meeting new people and sharing in their stories, challenges, experiences, and memories. Each client that I meet turn into friends and they teach me something new every time. My job but more importantly my life art has me feeling blessed everyday.
Coming a quarter way into 2012 I feel a big shift coming. A good shift. This year is a big year for me with our new addition to our family coming along (in just 11 weeks!) and the revamping of my business has me feeling pretty good in all corners of my life. Last year was a big challenge but I made it through and came out stronger by the end of it. I've taken most of this year off from taking in clients so that I can be fully aware in my pregnancy but also to come back to myself and re-evaluate which direction I wish to take my photography. I've meditated on it and for the most part still am but I am amazed at the answers that I am getting. This fall when I get things back up and running I will be coming back with PUNCH! I have so many ideas and plans for shoots. I actually need to pace myself and write them down in a journal because they just keep popping up!
I've done a ton of soul searching lately. I've learned to trust myself and have confidence that I am going in the right direction and heading down the right path. I'm really excited for the fall and the next year to come and that is the feeling of change that I sense in the air. I feel like a giddy little girl again bouncing up and down in my chair as we speak! I can just feel its going to be awesome and I will actually get to open my wings and fly! I'm excited to meet new people and work with my amazing community. I've noticed since I've moved back that there has been a major shift here as well. People are more connected. I can see the tiny webs between them and I love seeing people come together. I will definitely be branching out to the community more.
This July I am starting the free shoot initiative. Every month I will give away one free shoot to someone in my community whether it be for family or just because. It's a way that I can say thank you for having 409 people support me! So definitely a big THANK YOU to all my clients, friends and family for supporting my gift and passion. I am now going into my fourth year of business! That sure puts it into perspective for me. I've had to face a lot of challenges getting to this point and I will definitely be facing more (its a part of life) but I welcome those challenges with open arms, I am a red head of course! I love a challenge! But I also open my arms to embrace all the goodness that is coming in 2012. I'm ready for growth and change. I really hope that all of you will be a long for ride because if it wasn't for you I wouldn't be where I am today. So cheers to this year and all the amazing things that are headed our way!
